Jeff Isaac: The Sovereign Of Soul
author: Daniel B McConnell
Recently, I was suprised to learn that one of my favorite professors from undergrad days back around 1992-1993, Jeff Isaac, was giging as a jazz pianist with an act called Code Blue in Bloomington. Me and my fraternity brother/classmate used to jokingly refer to him as "The Sovereign" since this was also a commonly uttered term by him in his political science classes. How cool is it that The Sovereign also has some serious jazz piano chops? Just had to buy the CD. Hope to catch him and the guys live in Bloomington-- the CD is a great romp.
