Codie Prevost is a genuine person with a down to earth perspective who is one of Canada’s “To Watch For” singer/songwriters of the year. For Codie country music is all about letting the music take you on a journey. With a quiet confidence and keen ear for memorable melodies Codie’s songs touch on a variety of subjects. From love lost to going out on weekends and having some fun with friends.

Commitment to music is a reflection of Codie’s personality. He is very dedicated, sincere and honest. Those qualities shine thought not only in his original songs but also in his live performances. Grounded and easy going are also words you often hear about Codie. With a passion for music and a dedication to his art that is seldom seen in such a young man, Codie is an artist who will undoubtedly develop a long lasting career in the music industry.

Codie’s debut album “The Road Ahead” was released in 2005 and was met with rave reviews. It captured the 2006 Saskatchewan Country Music Association Album of the Year award and placed Codie as a top ten finalist for the 2006 Canadian Country Music Associations Chevy Truck Rising Star Award. He has released 6 singles from the album and has received airplay on over 155 radio stations worldwide.

This past fall Codie was asked to take part in the 2007 CCMA weekend as part of the Songwriter’s Café putting him alongside some of Canada’s biggest stars. Codie performs with a five piece band that includes bass, drums, fiddle, electric guitar and acoustic guitar. He has showcased his talents at many fairs, exhibitions and festivals with his band and can also perform as a solo acoustic artist depending on the venue. Last year Codie performed over 110 shows in Western Canada. He recently opened for Canadian artists Emerson Drive, Doc Walker, Aaron Pritchett and Gord Bamford.
