Love your sound! wont be long till ill be singing along to you on the radio! cant wait :) --Stacey Scutt
I started playing guitar at the age of six. I've always loved performing. As a child, I would have concerts in my living room for my family, singing folk & country music. Songs by John Denver, Arlo Guthrie and Peter Paul and Mary. My first guitar was signed by Peter Paul and Mary, which I hold dear to my heart.
When I was 16yrs old I attended a John Fogerty's concert and had the opportunity to meet John Fogerty's guitarist James Intveld. I asked James what is the most valuable piece of advice you could give me as a young musician. James responded write music and develop your own sound and songs. That week I wrote my first song called Chattanooga and that is how I started to write music.
Recently, I recorded my first single and album in Nashville, Tennessee. It was amazing to see it all come together. From writing music in my living room to hearing it on the radio. I can't wait to go on tour and give everyone a great show!
I write my own songs and music. I begin by working out a few guitar chords, then
hum along with it, kind of sing words until they all fall into place. Some times, an idea will pop into my head. For "Born On The Mississippi" I have a blue guitar that reminded me of water, so I called the guitar Mississippi which eventually lead to the song.
My favorite song from my album would have to be, "Daddy's Little Girl". It's Heartfelt and sweet. I've had a few people cry when I've played it live. It's a song that touches all fathers and daughters. I'm very proud to call it my own. My favorite song to sing on my album would have to be, "Never Walk Out On You". Its upbeat, and fun, a blast to dance to. It was inspired to me by my grandmother & her husband.
If I had the chance to sing a song with anyone, (dead or alive) I would say, I'd love to record with, Elvis Presley, John Fogerty or John Mellencamp. I like their style of music, a mix between Rock, Country and the Blues. My favorite country song, Artist/Singer would have to be, Alan Jackson, George Strait or Garth Brooks.
My hope is to go on a major tour. Being out on the road, meeting new people and seeing new places. Creating more music and one day, I hope to play at The CMA Awards. It would be a dream come true!
God Bless Cody Wolfe
