Album Notes

Born Backwards is the first full-length album by Chris Cofoni and the Gimmicks. It is a concept album dealing with personal experiences and their relation to time, space, and perspective.

Chris Cofoni is a singer/songwriter from Mystic, CT. The Gimmicks are a group of CT musicians that he has recorded with, bringing his acoustic songs to full life. Cofoni possesses a wide pallet of instrumentation utilizing piano, organ, strings, guitar, bass and drums; with plenty of vocal harmony to add to the complexity of the musical tapestry.

Chris Cofoni went to The Hartt School of music in Hartford CT where he sang Opera. He also has been cast in many CT, RI, and NYC performances, including performances in Europe. He has focused his vocal skill and song writing ability to create Born Backwards his debut album as both artist and producer.

Cofoni has plans to record other singer/songwriters from CT and abroad. He starts his tour of coffee houses and other small, intimate venues in January in support of the January 29th release date. He has plans to play live on WWUH Radio in early January and has secured some local and regional press in support of his album.
