As serious as a heart attack or a leather studded punch in the face, Southern California’s CONFEDERACY OF HORSEPOWER drag you down through the ragged underbelly of Rock N’Roll they call home. These arena bound rockstars aim straight for the throat and nail your balls to the wall with raucous riffs and righteous hooks!
Having been called everything from” GUNS N’ ROSES meets MOTORHEAD” to “AC/DC on crack”, C.O.H. seamlessly fuse elements of GLAM, METAL, SLEAZE and TRASH ROCK into a nitro and gasoline infused cocktail all their own.
Formed in early 2007 by lead bass player Joe Truck (SNAKE CHARMERS) and stone age drum god El Loco Moto, this five headed suicide machine is rounded out by ball crushing, lady killing frontman Matthew Velvet (PERISH), Swedish guitar hero Ricky Reckless (GLORY HOG, FRANKI DOLL/BROKEN TOYS) and Greg Gatti on guitars.
Months passed and the boys holed up in an abandoned Porn Theater honing their chops. Friends and fans POURED into the MYSPACE page, street teams were formed from TOKYO to LONDON, record deals were discussed..AND THEY HADNT EVEN PLAYED A SHOW YET!! The gospel of the CONFEDERACY was spreading like a virus, and just when things couldn’t get any better..’07 culminated with the recording of their debut album: “VAGABOND CABARET” with non other than rock royalty RICKY WARWICK (CIRCUS DIABLO, THE ALMIGHTY) producing!!! So here it is..10 tracks of fist pumping, heart thumping riff rock that will leave you sweating for more. There’s even a “ZODIAC MINDWARP” cover!
