Well-produced, extremely enjoyable listening!
author: Jim B.
My wife and I found this CD to be well produced, with very crisp-sounding and accurate lead and acoustic guitar. Lyrics are very poignant, and you can definitely pick up the Harry Chapin/James Taylor/Neil Young influences, although Jason definitely has his own style. Very nice debut CD.

Saw him on vacation - had to buy his cd
author: Heather M.
I haven't heard his cd yet, but we just returned today from vacationing in Palm Beach, FL, where we heard him at our resort, Marriott Ocean Pointe, and fell in love with his music. I had to buy his cd once I got home, because I didn't have my money on me at the time he was playing outside where we heard him. He was fantastic!!! JASON --> If you remember the week of Feb 1st, we were there with a baby whom you heard crying after you finished a song... she wasn't crying at your music, she was crying because it was over!!!!! ;)

Warm and Toasty
author: Jim Fleming
The understated and sparse instrumentation of Jason Colannino's "Piece of the Sun" supports Colannino's appealing vocals. His original songs are accessible without being pedestrian. The overall result from the sum of these parts is a recording which is warm and toasty, in other words, intimate, and reminiscent of James Taylor's "Sweet Baby James", Neil Young's "Harvest", or America's sophomore "Homecoming". Perhaps not so much in style or genre, but in the way it beckons you to sink into your easy chair, kick off your shoes, sit and listen for a spell.
A fine, well-produced CD all around.
