Album Notes

Based out of San Francisco, Cold-Hot-Crash is becoming a favorite to everyone with an appreciation for Alternative Rock music. Comparable to The Stone Temple Pilots, Foo Fighters, and Rival Schools, Cold Hot Crash write songs with Pop sensibilities that are seamlessly tight, with a sound that is loud, guitar driven, melodic, and harmonious. For the caring and curious, this is their story.

In August of 2005, after years of touring with the successful East Bay punk band Divit, long-time friends Mick Leonardy and Rich Brinkerhoff decided to start another project that would allow them to expand their sound and song writing creativity. The new material that they were working on caught the attention of their friend, Adam Schuman, whom they met in a college music class a couple of years earlier. Adam was still playing with another band, Cult of Suburbia, but felt strongly about the music and decided to leave the group to pursue working with Mick and Rich. Knowing his style would suit the group well, and because they have been playing music together since they were able to pick up their instruments, Adam recommended that his younger brother John play drums for the group. With in a few months the four of them were writing and practicing new songs. In December of 2005, Cold-Hot-Crash released four songs on Myspace.com and the attention and support they received from friends and fans was overwhelming. Live 105, San Francisco’s #1 Alternative Rock station, began playing the single “They Keep Calling” in March 2006. By May 2006 Zero Magazine named Cold-Hot-Crash one of the most played local bands on Live 105’s Local Lounge radio show. Cold-Hot-Crash is now preparing to release their self-titled debut album in early 2007.
