This song was written for my friend Dorothy, who, incidentally, knew a lion, a scarecrow, and a tin man. Upon hearing this, I recalled there was an obscure movie from sometime ago.... perhaps even before the 60s.... that had a storyline similar to some aspects of her life. Thus I made haste to the piano and soon thereafter banged out this little ditty. Soon after that, I recorded it with a hodge podge of musicians I found floating around NYC, and this recording was born. I hope you enjoy listening to it.
