Album Notes

Colin Owens is an audio unification of Peter Gabriel, Orbital, Jeff Buckley, and Meat Beat Manifesto. Colin Owens' recently released second solo album, "Hollywood," is an amalgam of electronica meets rock, utilizing traditional, sampled, and tasteful synthesized sound.

"Hollywood" is an album pertinent to our times, questioning the very basis of modern life while celebrating our achievements. Some of the material may prompt the listener to think of recent events, while indeed, most, if not all of the album material was written the previous year.

In 1992, Colin Owens started the techno dance group Blind VR, which produced an album and a record LP in 1993. The self-titled album, "Blind VR" rose to number 33 on the Alternative Press BPM dance charts and toured the northeast, closing out shows and raves in New York, Boston, and Rhode Island. Colin's First solo album, Spaghetti Western, is a compilation of works for film over the five-year period of 1994-1999.

Colin Owens is from Boston, US and currently lives in London.

An audio unification of Peter Gabriel, Orbital, Jeff Buckley, and Meat Beat Manifesto; an amalgam of electronica meets rock, utilizing traditional, sampled, and synthesized sound. The long and the short of it is that it is very interesting trip hop with really great vocals.
