People need to know about this guy !!
author: Dan Craig- President-Yakima Folklife Association
"How I Came to Cry These Tears of Cool" is the album of the year and Colin Spring is the most unheralded American
songwriter that I've heard. Many of his songs recall early Neil Young ,Bruce Springsteen John Prine and even Bob Dylan. With characters like the cross-dresser in "Rosa Rosa from Barcelona", to the immigrants of "Chinatown" or
the broken narrator of "November", Colin Spring shares his
songs in the form of complex narratives that leave little
to the listener's imagination. He crafts tales of love, loss, and redemption that can not only be heard, but tasted
and touched as well. All the while, avoiding the pitfalls
of the "look at my pain" emo set. He is a rare voice on
the American music scene, with few peers. "November" is
arguably the song of the year and "HICTCTTOC" is a masterpiece. Five and a half stars !!!

You've Heard Senor Before?
author: Oliver Jones
Seldom can someone haunt you with a song the way Bob Dylan can. I'm not talking about Times They Are A-Changin. If that's all you know about Bob, then you missed his good stuff. Try Senor, or Things Have Changed. They make you love your woman and hate our president, with intellect and with passion.
Try Colin if you miss Bob's better years. Colin's raspy voice is a strength; his music's simplicity is an art; his words make you laugh they're so f-ing cool.

Outstanding Record !
author: Frank Andrews
This is a very well balanced album. Folk and kind of this
indie rock flavor. Spring is an excellent lyricist with a
special gift for giving voice to the marginilized segment
of our society. Joe McCarthy is the sizzling opener and the
album just kind of blossoms from there. I found Chinatown
particularly moving. November as well. This is an excellent
story songwriter. There are not a lot of flashy production
gimmicks on this effort, which is in a way kind of refreshing.
