You listened to it how many times in a row?
author: Betty Kruszka
Not since I played my Carly Simon album 14 times in a row back in high school can I remember playing a CD more than once in a 24 hour span. (Except the time my Phantom of the Opera soundtrack got stuck in the car CD player but that's another story.) Now, with my 48 year old tail between my legs, I have to confess I listened to Colleen's CD 4 times within 24 hours. Now I can see how you may be worried that this occurred because I have been in a horrible accident and my body cast makes it impossible to shut the player off if the nurse leaves it running, but truth be known, I just liked it that much. But here's the real kicker, I had my two teenage sons (who are extremely cool) come in and listen to my two favorite songs (Movie of My Life and Mexican Wrestler). And I kid you not, they both laughed out loud! But the most incredible part to me is Colleen's voice ... pure, clean, irristably listenable! Perfect!

Beautiful singing in addition to everything else wonderful!
author: Gregory Van Acker
She sings beautifully. Yes, she's hysterically funny. Yes, she's charming and blessed with brilliant comic timing. Yes, she makes meaningful statements without choking her listeners with preachy stuff. If all that's not enough for you, she also has a beautiful singing voice. She sings with marvelous control, crisp diction, and an absoloute affection for the words. This CD is a delight from start to belty finish. "Mexican Wrestler" is my favorite track because she doesn't play the jokes up, but rather lets them roll off of her tongue, giving you the choice to laugh or not to laugh (I laughed). This same track also managed to make me have an emotional reaction, something that pleasantly surprised me! I also loved her Disney Land monologue, and "I Don't Want To Know". A wonderful theme for a solo show. A wonderful solo artist for a theme!
