Colleen Sillver is an Americana singer/ songwriter/ based out of Santa Cruz Area, Calif.
She mainly plays with "The Banker Boys" these days. She did about 75 performances last year all over Californiain 2007. However 2008, they are playing into other States, house concerts, restraunts, private events, pubs, festivals, etc.
Colleen's genre is mainly Americana, Grass Roots, contemporary folk, country, some bluegrassy stuff.
She can pull out the goods: fast with punch or soft & slow. Her voice stretches across the room to the back wall and along the side walls, she is definately going to get a hold of you if you're in the room. People like it!
Coming from an orchestra background, of playing cello, violin and clarinet from 4th grade through college,
she now plays mandolin & guitar most of the time. She is an independent grass roots artist.
As a songwriter, she writes soul driven, heart felt, fast paced, foot stomping music with an edge to it. She
is a trained lead vocalist said to have an unusual textured sound. Can range 4 octaves at this point.
The lyrics have a timeless feeling to them with a consistent combination of high energy and sophisticated musicianship.
The album gets you movin' and shakin' like her audiences.
Some of the best songs on this album are "Pocahontas", "Love Water", "Go With the Angels", "You're Tender, Baby", and
"Sierra Mountains" & "Shoreline of Love".
The entire album is consistently tight, smokin' entertainment!
