Album Notes

The Colorado Playboys were co-founded by Travis Book who recently won three International Bluegrass Music Association Awards with his Nashville-based band the Infamous Stringdusters, and John Frazier or Hit and Run Bluegrass. Book is from Colorado and was in the now-defunct Broke Mountain Bluegrass band from Durango — a band that took first place at RockyGrass in 2003 and second place at Telluride in 2005.
Former Broke Mountain band mates, Jon Stickley and Andy Thorn join Book in the Playboys. Stickley most recently toured with the Biscuit Burners and Thorn with Larry Keel and Natural Bridge. The Playboys are rounded out by John Frazier who is currently touring with the John Cowan Band, but is well known as the mandolinist from Hit & Run Bluegrass, a perennial favorite in the region.
