Album Notes

Color has been performing together for over 10 years. The group met as members of another group and continued playing together well after the main group had disbanded. Brothers, Jamie and Chris Decato have been performing together since they were boys and this makes their musical hookup incredibly deep and telepathic. Saxophonist Matt Langley plays tenor, soprano and baritone saxophone giving the group a variety of timbres. Chris plays Fender Rhodes through a leslie cabinet to give the group a fat sound despite the bassless instrumentation. Chris is equally at home on the guitar and bass which opens up many more sound possibilities. Jamie's drumming always starts with the groove and branches out from there giving the trio an incredibly rhythmic feel that sometimes teeters on collapse, much to the joy of the players and listeners.
