This is the previous incarnation of the band LEMON SUN
"Colour mix elements of rock, punk, soul, pop, and psychedelic from the past five decades. Their CD is entitled Tales From the Enchanted Sea. Their up-tempo, edgy rock tunes are well crafted and surprisingly catchy without being too "in your face." I had the pleasure of seeing these guys rock out in the basement of a Ramada Inn in Hollywood. They were literally bouncing off the walls with energy! I haven't seen an indie band I liked this much in a long time.
Colour is Rob Kolar, Chris Knight, Eddie Mosqueda, and Chris Nuccio. You can tell from first listen that these guys pour their hearts into what they do. The musicianship and production on "The Enchanted Sea" is far better than most indie releases I've heard.
The first song is called "Three Words." It is a raw, upbeat tune that will have your head bouncing and your foot tapping and the drumming on this track is some of my favorite on the disc. The second song is called "Through These Doors." It starts off with a beautiful, guitar-drenched intro reminiscent of early Sunny Day Real Estate (now called The Fire Theft) and then breaks into a cool groove for the verse. There are also some nice backing vocals in this one. The mood that is created within each of the songs is by far the band's finest element. Next up is "Lust is in Love," a tight song with a catchy chorus. This one starts off really mellow and then explodes into the hook of the song, the guitars complementing each other to the fullest and the drumming and bass always right on. There is a sweet breakdown in the middle of this song that will give you a chance to catch your breath. The fourth track, "Song to Raise the Dead," is a little different from the rest, but has all of the essentials that make this band listener friendly. My favorite on the disc has to be the last song, "Caroline Black." Although this song is mellower than the rest, fear not, it really gets going throughout the course of about four minutes. Kolar's vocals are exceptionally strong and the melodies he writes will have you singing along in just a few listens. The chorus of "Caroline Black" is the catchiest on the disc. "Oh, Caroline." Simply beautiful.
This band reminds me a little of indie-rock gods Sebadoh, speckled with some great Beatle-esque melodies. They are bursting at the seams with energy, like of the Clash. A must have for any lover of rock music. This CD is certainly worth the money I paid for it at the show. I can't wait to hear more! "

I have been enchanted by this record. If this album is just the tales, i'd definatly like to see the sea itself. The ep is a great translation of Colour's live sound to record. Rob's music has really matured well. keep rockin'

If this band didn't come from So-Cal I sware they came from London Town!!! This EP reminds me of 1978 in a good way. Think of The Clash or The Stranglers blaring away while playing hooky from school all day. Now just think of pogoing and not caring about the gossip at the water cooler at work. Instead let's go and dance by the shore of the enchanted sea!!! Groove, Zoom, Boom Indeed!!!
