Guitarist Rob Price was a founding member of Dim Sum Clip Job, a strange NYC-based art-rock group that released a CD on John Zorn's Avant label in 1996 (Harmolodic Jeopardy AVANT 051).
Several years after Dim Sum Clip Job broke up, Rob put together the Combination No. 10 project, which features drummer Ara Babajian (Leftöver Crack, The Slackers, Agent 99) and bassist Victor Rice. The music is a mixture of noisy, Boredoms-inspired, Dim Sum Clip Job-ish songs and more moody, atmospheric pieces inspired by Bernard Herrmann, John Barry and old surf records.
A reviewer for Tastes Like Chicken magazine described the Combination No: 10 "Blue Punctilios" record as "14 tracks of some of the most unique and unusual music I've ever heard. They bounce from genre to genre, blending and separating as they see fit.
