Album Notes

COMFORTABLE FOR YOU decided to break up before these six songs were even recorded. In the early spring of 2005, tensions within the band became insurmountable. The last thing the band could actually agree on was to record the handful of new songs that were already written.

They called up their good friend Ben Moore and booked several days of the producer's time in late May, thus locking themselves into the strange denouement of a band who knows the end is approaching with each passing day. The only thing that kept the wheels on for the last few months was each member's commitment to give their musical creation a proper send-off.

The songs contained on "My Entire Life is a Lie" showcase COMFORTABLE FOR YOU's unique vision of guitar-driven indie-punk at its finest. Technical, but not pretentious. Brimming with melody, but not sappy. The loud/quiet aspect of their debut release, "Prizefight", evolved into louder/quieter and everything in between.

"My Entire Life is a Lie" is a truly dynamic and engaging rock 'n' roll record that will find a home next to Drive Like Jehu, Fugazi, and Refused in the indie connoisseur's record collection.
