The style of “The Pretty Ugly” is reminiscent of the golden era of hip hop yet at the same time stylistically relevant for today’s sound. Imagine putting Buckshot, Digable Planets, Sintax the Terrific with Prince Paul beats all in a blender and you have something like “The Pretty Ugly.” The sounds are fresh and this is definitely music you can vibe to. Don’t sleep on Common Child’s production skills.
