Comrade Kommissar is a Gothic Industrial musician from Houston, Texas. He originally entered into the world of professional music in 1996 as a member of several local projects/bands that are no longer together. Comrade Kommissar decided to work as a solo songwriter in 2001, due to the lack of ambition of his former band mates. From 2001-2002, Comrade Kommissar began writing what would become the album "From Out of Nowhere". In 2002, he joined Four Control Records (formerly Renaissance Records), an independent label, based in his native Houston, Texas.

Comrade Kommissar spent two years recording in studios in Houston from 2002-2004. The album's flagship single, "Decadent Man", was released in April 2003. The single was well received not only in the U.S. but also, worldwide. In May 2004, Comrade Kommissar released his debut album, "From Out of Nowhere". Since the album's release, his music is being played in dance clubs and on radio stations nationwide. The band also plays at regional and local venues regularly. He has received rave reviews regarding stage performance and presence.

In the studio, Comrade Kommissar is a solo artist only utilizing producers and technicians to make his vision a reality. Some producers that have worked with Comrade Kommissar are Stephen Bogle of "The Hunger" and Eric Xian Jimenez of "Le Fiebre" and "Gel". On stage Comrade Kommissar is joined by two other talented musicians, Robin Guerra on keyboards and Eric Xian on guitar and keyboards. This troika of musicians on stage together creates a dark and energetic performance that is unseen in most musicians and bands today.
