Conan's second release on newly formed indie label, Right Road Records, is a powerful follow up to his debut CD, "From NY to TN."

Released five years after his debut album, "Tone Deaf and Color Blind" has definitely been worth the wait. Once again, Conan's vocals, songwriting and arrangements shine. From the lively two-step opener, "Worth A Dime," to the soulful "Can't Give You My Heart," this album rocks, rolls and sometimes reaches into the core of your being with songs like, "The Way It Used To Be."

All songs were written by Conan except for Track 6, which was co-written with long-time collaborators, Tony Barone and Eileen Fioramonti. Barone, brother of renowned jazz guitarist, Jeff Barone, also plays keyboards and strings for Track 10.

Additional highlights include expert mixing and engineering by Central New York soundman, Bill Aldrich, guitar tracks by Nashville transplant, Jason Teska (Jared Ashley, Back Alley Boys) and Lou Segreti (Zoid, Kane, Bloodline) on piano and Hammond B3.

"From NY to TN" took you on a journey; with "Tone Deaf and Color Blind," you have arrived.

Conan's musical world sure shines through in brilliant sounds and color.

"Tone Deaf and Color Blind," the second CD from Central New York alt-country outfit Conan and the Showdogs, showcases Conan's sturdy guitar and longing voice with the solid foundation of 'dogs Michael P. Ryan on bass and "Crash" Dan Eason on drums.

With these 11 originals, Conan's sharing a mature view of life, love and how to relate to the ups and downs of both: It's rarely perfect, but regret's overrated.

The truest piece is "The Way It Used to Be," which shines a light on a guy's relationship with two women--- a grown daughter and the woman who used to share life with father and child before she left without giving any reasons.

Accessible, engaging and well-produced...

This CD was not what I expected when someone told me Conan's "really loud." Well, sometimes, but that's hardly the end of it! While Conan rocks out on some tracks, many of these songs could be performed in an intimate club setting & provide a glimpse of the possibilities toward the tender ballad end of things. There's great range here & a depth of feeling, in both Conan's vocals & the affecting instrumentals. Great job!
