Condition: Critical has been on the fast track since coming together in late 2010. Starting out, they played their first gig after only being together for 2 weeks, at Planet Rock in Battle Creek, MI. This launched them, fast and unexpected, into the live performance scene of heavy metal. They introduced a 3-track demo around Christmas and got an overwhelming response from the community and nearby venues. "Bullet from the Grave", featured "Glass Prison", "Ministry" and the hit self-titled track.
With each performance, they were approached with a new opportunity and within those, even more surfaced. So, they decided to concentrate on learning new material in preparation for a big summer and it payed off. As they branched out into new venues, they also gave back by performing for various benefits and non profit organizations. Their fan base continued to grow, as did their versatility and overall performance. Generally, the band does little cover material, but when they do, they are loved by all! They have gained much respect for their quality of musicianship, respectful attitudes and energetic live performances that portray C:C's true style.
All of these wonderful opportunities helped them afford to head back to the studio to record their first full length album. "Scripture of Ruin" was released in September, C:C's one year anniversary month of the formation of the band. The album features 10 well-tuned songs such as the re-recorded "Glass Prison" and "Bullet from the Grave", as well as the smash hit "Cold" and a second ballad called "Home". Another favorite, "De-Human" was earlier released as a single to promote the album and featured some awesome artwork by a good friend.
Condition: Critical held a CD release party at Planet Rock with Sin Theorem, Down Fall, Damascus, and Indiana hardcore band Corruptor. The party was a huge success with somewhere around 300 people in attendance to support their hometown guys. They continue to write new material and already have a second album planned. These hardworking young men have a great future ahead of them!
