REVIEWS

Excellent IDM
author: Nick at CD Baby
Hi this is Nick, CD Baby Customer Service employee, and I just wanted to add my two cents to the reviews on this album. "Telluride Motivation" is an excellent album of Left Field Ambient Electronic With Beats (how's that for a convoluted genre). Nice Acoustic Guitars clash with heavy beats and pretty synth melodies in lovely and pleasant yet challenging fashion. Definitely check this out if you are a fan of Ulrich Schnauss, Four Tet or Do Make Say Think. Good work Noah!

Moody, Fresh and constantly changing
author: airrore
In the self-proclaimed "Sad Bastardness" that is Confusion Ends lies a very moody and free-flowing album. A few things came to mind; Sometimes resembling m83 (Lucas Cheer), Album Leaf (Kill Bill Dutcher) and then Calla (Anything with vocals) the true virtue of Telluride is that all of the songs are relatively slow-paced and follow similar feelings but each one sounds completely different and unique. I disagree with prior commentary on the vocals... I think their sparse use adds much to the album. Was very impressed by the use of samples and the low-fi distant sounding acoustic drums added much to the tracks they appear in. Track layering was brillant at times and this might be the best example of acoustic guitar in ambient music. Best listened to as a whole but favorite tracks include Hotel Viewer, Engraved Eventually, Kill Bill Dutcher.

breathy vocals, kind of redundant, but great instrumentation and vision
author: yabbow
This artist has a lot of potential. Sometimes I think he should go soley instrumental and no vocals. the breathy sounds sometimes drag out and become a little distracting. However, the first album was pretty decent and this album too is going in the right direction. I'm surprised not to see Idaho as somewhat of an influence due to the presence on that band's website. This artist has some similarities to This is For You; another very promising artist. I'm between 3 and 4 stars, so I rounded up.

Inspiring.
author: Chad Smith
This is the perfect album to lie in a bed next to someone, under white sheets and the morning sun peering in through the closed blinds. All you do is lie with your eyes closed, listening to perfection unrivled.
