This album marks 12 years since the band originally formed. Conjunto Los Pochos' style is both recognizably Tejano conjunto music, yet distinctly different. The band is made up entirely of Southern Californians and they merge their influences, both from inside and outside the genre.
“The roots of this music are important to us. We love the tejano dance hall style... the music from San Antonio to the valley. This is music that tugs at your heart strings and reminds you you’re alive. We pay tribute to those who've inspired us on our journey. The photos used in this album were taken at the corner of Cesar Chavez and Chicago streets in E.L.A, the local conjunto hang out, and the very place where I met my first accordion teacher - and the same man who taught Elliott to play the bajo sexto. While our influences have expanded over the years, our music still comes from the same place as when we started.” - Otoño Luján
In addition to playing music, members of the band teach at music studios and community centers, sharing their music and knowledge with others.

Here are some reviews of the last album, Margie's, from CD Baby customers just like you:
"This is good conjunto music. I went searching the net for a sound and found it with this band. You can't help but enjoy there style and energy. One of my top 10 CD's this year." - Mike Pitzer
"i'm listening to the preview of this CD - about 2 minutes per song. Before the end of the second song, I've already ordered it. This takes me back to music that's real, made by real musicians for real people. The only way this music would taste better is with a can of Budweiser at a wedding reception... where you didn't have an invitation." - Carlos del Campo
""Al Pie De La Tumba" is so inspiring that it gives me goose-bumps whenever I listen to it, which is about everyday! Can't wait for their next CD, keep it Conjunto, bro!" - Rick V
"The music is great and moving. The cd has some great classics that sound better than the originals. The searing emotional vocals are inspiring. Looking forward to seeing Los Pochos in person." - Ruben Z
