Hello Wonder Friends,
Well...it is interesting to read my last entry. Alice got sick with a chronic lung disease and Constant Wonder had to stop performing. We never did get to go on the r family vacation cruise and I went back to teaching. Alice is feeling much better now and my son, Jackson and I have moved into a home that has inspired me to create a lot of solo piano music. I love to set the music to my photos. If you want to check it out here, there are some links you can hit or you can go to YOUTUBE and go to my channel which you can type in the search box there. It is songsmith15 - all one word.
Hope you are all doing well out there. I see folks are still downloading the songs and that makes me happy.
I have about 150 educational songs for children so one of these days I am going to get out there and record some for all of you kind listeners.
Please remember to be kind to our EARTH! We only have one! xoxo
Love,
Connie Gillies

Hi Wonder Friends!
Just back from First Night Boston for New Year's Eve at the Hynes Convention Center! We had a great time and met some new Wonder Friends who are now eager to Save Our Earth - One Song at a Time!!
So...thinking about buying our CD? You should. It is a great CD and twice as long as others. It also has an entire story on the last track that kids seem to groove on when they are in the car or dozing off in their beds.
We just got booked to perform on the r family vacations cruise this summer! That should be FUN!
Signing off...CD Baby Lookers...you can buy our songs on iTunes too if you like! Ciao!!

Check out our past events page and you will see why we haven't written. We are busy, busy, busy performing Constant Wonder shows...factor in the 5 kids, 2 dogs, 6 cats, and fish among the two of us and you can see why.

Last night we performed at KidZone TV Studio in the Kravitz Children Center at Mount Sinai in New York City. The kids who are in the hospital there watch their KidZone TV channel and musicians from MUSICIANS ON CALL come and perform for them. Musicians On Call is a volunteer organization that hooks up musicians to hospitals. The musicians donate their time and talent and they walk away with a really great feeling having done a good deed while touching the hearts of those stuck in hospitals.
We had a great time performing for the kids and the space, the people, the play areas, the virtual fish tanks, and the KidZone TV studio were all amazing!

Summer is COMING! We performed at Rye Playland in NY where the Westchester Children's Museum will be built! We had such a great time at their Explore-a-thon! It was such a well organized event and our performance under a shady tree right on the waterfront was such a wondreful ending to the day!
Thanks to all the folks up in Westchester!!!
Are you going to be going to the Eric Carle Museum to see us on August 25th? If you don't know Eric Carle, he is probably one of the most famous picture book authors who ever lived. Perhaps you know his book called The Very Hungry Caterpillar or the The Very Lonely Firefly or The Very Quiet Cricket. Needless to say, we are psyched to head up to Amherst, MA and perform at this HUGE, FUN, BRIGHT and COLORFUL museum!
Off to another Constant Wonder show....catch the wonder!

Happy SPRING! We had a great outdoor show at the Tulip Festival in Huntington, NY on Sunday! It was a beautiful show and our GREEN message was warmly received. Sarah, a Wonder Kid Fan from way back, came up after the show with little bits of garbage she found on the ground so she could help "Save the Earth!" After she got home she decided to change her birthday party plans to a "Save the Earth Party" and she and her friends will celebrate after they have clean up time and "bend down and pick it up" at a local park.
Thanks to you Wonder Kid Fans the Earth will be a little cleaner and a better place for you to grow up in!

Hello to all! Constant Wonder has some exciting news! Constant Wonder was invited to perform at the Eric Carle Museum in Amherst, MA on Aug. 25th at 1 pm. For picture book lovers and former kindergarten teachers like Connie, an invitation like this is HUGE, exciting and an honor!
Once Alice and Connie heard the news they trucked on up to Vermont and scoped out some summer gigs!
Alice and Connie's kids, Eliza, Jackson and Taylor all had a blast, especially when they woke up to 5 inches of snow!
Constant Wonder is so excited to hit the road this summer and spread their interactive message about respecting the world's creatures and responsible ecology to new friends.
The people in Vermont were really cool, calm, sweet and GREEN! Alice, Connie and their kids had lots of fun!

"Wonder"ing about Constant Wonder...keep on reading...
Connie Gillies and Alice Weiser met three years ago at a women's retreat at the end of Long Island, New York, where they both live. Connie was playing an old upright piano and Alice was singing, and the connection they made at that moment became the soul of Constant Wonder. A deep part of them (complete with goose bumps) innately realized that they had found the vehicle to express their gifts and talents. In no time at all, they realized that Connie's teaching experience, fluid piano style and songwriting combined with Alice's soulful singing and expressive acting could produce wonder-filled interactive children's performances characterized by sheer delight and boundless energy.
Like their live performances, "Walk with Wonder" is an interactive musical journey, inviting children to explore, wonder, answer, imagine, act and sing along. Alice and Connie's stage personas come shining through, with Connie embodying a Sesame Street style "Bert" (only happier and more evolved!) while Alice plays a full-blown "Ernie".
Through the songs and the banter that ties the songs together, children will be treated to oodles of science and nature facts carrying a theme of responsible ecology, all served up with good humor and wonderment.
With the release of "Walk with Wonder", Constant Wonder makes their debut to a national audience. The material for future CD's is ready to roll; their ultimate goal is to be a familiar presence on children's television.
