The evolution of Rock music is rounding the outer edge of the circle, bringing back once again the inspiration lost by many over produced corporate creations. Control_Z is a full metal jacket, armed with a decade of experience in various circuits. Instead of the quick "fix" of local bar gigging, Control_Z set their sights beyond the local protocol and took careful aim at a product that will measure up to today's new millennium standard. With a sound as refreshing and powerful as the technology used in it's creation. Control_Z chose the long hard road of building a recording studio, acquiring the knowledge and equipment to record, produce, engineer and mix a true phenomenon in music. System Failure, a great debut album from the American band Control_Z
author: AngelDevil-Cathouse Rock'n'Roll Project-Italy-System Failure, a great debut album from the American band Control_Z, is mature and accreted songwriting with a sophisticated heavy metal rock sound. The tracks are powerful and straight, like a punch into your stomach. These guys don't want to create something new, but their strength, their determination and their passion for heavy metal is clear in their music. Dave's voice is powerful and catchy, comfortable with the speed of the heavy metal guitars of Shawn, the power of the drums played by Darin and the perfect rhythm of the great bass player Steve.They can alternate very good technical metal with catchy melodies, the right choice that will satisfy the listener. The sound will slow down with the last track, "Indian Nation". They show they can play less powerful songs going for a slower melody. You should listen to it. It's worth it. They have also done a good job with the opening track "Throw Away".This song was used in the movie "Surveillance" directed by Fritz Kiersch and produced by Gray Frederickson (GODFATHER PART 2 and APOCALYPSE NOW). We are just waiting for the video to enjoy this song at it's best. An interesting and powerful cd!

author: VibeRateLook at the photos of Control_Z and you get the whole picture of where the band is coming from; dark moody poses, not to be messed with attitude, playing cause they mean it and majorly pissed at the world for the suffering its caused them. Its payback time. The band has done the hard road penance and learned their craft well. They are tight and know what they're doing when putting this stuff together. Setting up a recording studio and holding the reigns to there master recordings is a smart move for any artist to do, regardless of what genre you fall into. When angst is used to move the masses into revolution the whole hard rock scene starts to make sense. Dylan did it with folk and the hard rock scene is doing it with the sonic assault gun slinging approach. ‘System Failure’ is a rock n roll assault and as the title suggests the system may well have failed us, let's hope the next album is titled ‘System Replacement’. CONTROL_Z music to be used in Motion Picture Movie
author: Press ReleaseCONTROL_Z has signed a movie deal with Graymark Productions for the first track of their 2006 debut release, 'System Failure'. The first track title "Throw Away" will be used in the opening scene of the motion picture "Surveillance", directed by Fritz Kiersch and produced by Oscar Winner Gray Frederickson, who won an Oscar for the motion picture "GODFATHER" PART 2 and nominated for an Oscar for the motion picture "APOCALYPSE NOW". Graymark Productions has completed principle photography on the film currently entitled “Surveillance”. Post production has begun and the film is scheduled to be completed and ready for distribution in mid-late 2006. Filmed entirely in the state of Oklahoma, “Surveillance” tells the story of an obsessive department store security guard whose spotless record at crime prevention marks the horrifying reality of blackmail, deception, and murder. Director: Fritz Kiersch (Original “Children of the Corn”). Cast: Harley – Armand Assante, Dennis – Nick Cornish, Claire – Laurie Fortier.
