Album Notes

Convergence was born in 2001 by the hand of guitarist Giacomo Mambriani, at first like a melodic death metal band. Their first producing (Colours behind the emotion) got good reviews, but after some months the band broke up due to personal and musical misunderstanding. Giacomo decided to start a new and different musical project and he composed new songs, searching a personal and innovative style. Meanwhile He searched new musicians to give the band a stable line up: after few months Michelangelo Naldini and Massimiliano Andrini joined the band at the drums and bass respectively, defining the band rhythm asset. The three started to arrange the song composed by Giacomo and as the pre-production was ended they went to a studio to start the definitive production of a new Album in February 2003. As Giordano Occhi, Producer and owner of the Sonora Recording Studio, listened the songs, he was stroked bye them and so He decided to co-produce their work, becoming their official producer. The recording of instrumental parts has been completed in three months but vocals lines weren’t still undefined, because the band still misses a singer. After few months, Alessandro Palladini completed the line up, joining the band in July 2003. The making of their first album “Points of View” has ended in March 2004 and in May 2004 started the self-distribution.
In June 2004 the band became a partners of the KICK PROMOTION AGENCY.
In April 2005 start the collaboration with the clothing partner ROOM 47 by AZTLAN MODA.
In April 2005 the band won FAENZA MUSIC AWARDS as best emerging band.
In June 2005 the band won EPHEBIA CONTEST 2005 and got the second place in POJAN ON THE ROCK
From January 2004 to August 2005 the band have been protagonist of an intense live activity playing in numerous famous italian locals playing with bands like LINEA 77, EXILIA, GUILTY METHOD, VELVET.

To define Convergence’s music, labelling it with a kind would be reductive: the ten songs included in their first album “Points of View” are in fact an explosive synthesis of post-metal, rock and electronics sonority. Experimentation and personal emotions are the guidelines of every composition: feelings and interior visions are the starring and they express through the aggression of their metal attitude and through the introspection inspired by the experimentation. Simple, sharp, but never banal, Convergence music try to hit the liste ner, aiming to his essential emotions. Maybe is in live shows where Convergence better express their musical attitude, through their intense and involving exhibitions.
