Cool Mandolin Company was founded in 2006 with the sole purpose of providing mandolin scholarship funding throughout the country. We LOVE the mandolin! You may be slightly obsessed with the mandolin. Don't worry, we're here for you!
"An American Tradition" is a mandolin composition CD from some of the best mandolin players in the US, Canada and the UK. All of these artists have graciously donated a track to the CD. 100% of the profits will go towards our mandolin scholarship program.
You'll hear newgrass, bluegrass, celtic, Americana, as well as mandolin music that "pushes the boundaries" of what's out there today. Some names you'll recognize right away. Some names will be new to you...but not for long! They represent the next generation of "mandolin legends".

A wonderful and varied CD.

This is a wonderful and varied CD. The standard of playing is fantastic on all the tracks and it's great to hear how the mandolin can be used to excellent effect in different genres of music. Hailing from the UK I didn't know any of the artists apart from Simon Mayor, so it's also given me a new range of artists / CDs to track down and listen to. It's also given me inspiration to get practising!

Really pleased to receive the CD. A great selection of mandolin playing covering many styles. Although I do not know all the artists the standard is high throughout, the playing superb and each track melodically strong. Your interest will be held from start to finish.

I love this new CD! I think you have to play a mandolin to really appreciate the talent that is on this one. I think they are all "home runs!" Would any of you guys want to play on a "no name" persons album, I promise the songs are good? I could only hope, Thanks for the great collection.
