ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
There's nothing much to say really apart from that I have been interested in music from an early age after hearing the Beatles when they broke onto the scene and changed music as it had never been changed before or since.

I first picked up a guitar around the age of 14 and had many fruitless attempts at trying to be the next Paul McCartney or Jimmy Page until one day in the 70's it began to click.

Anyway the years went past and due to life's little tricks and turns it was not until the late 90's that I managed to find the time and the finance to purchase some home recording gear and the result is what is on offer.

I have been writing songs on and off for 30 years, some lately with a friend of mine Ralph. Up to date I have written some 200 songs or so. Since purchasing the equipment I would like to think my playing and writing has improved and the songs I recorded are worth a listen and maybe you would like to purchase copy of my CD.

The songs are simple and come from the heart and mind and are all live music without the embellishments of professional studio gizmos and electronic trickery.

The first song "The promised land " is to be included on a compilation CD being released by Chromium Records who are based in Liverpool, England. This is due for release at the end of February 2005.

Below are some of the comments made by the A&R staff at Chromium Records about my songs.

Vocal ability Very Good
Musicianship Very Good
Song writing Excellent
Originality Excellent
Presence Excellent

Additional comments include:

"Beautifully composed songs both musically and lyrically. The songs have been carefully constructed and demonstrate simplistic, effective songwriting at its best. Certainly an original genre that is very striking indeed."

"As a songwriter David's aspirations are unlimited. This music would be accepted by the industry, film as well as television."

Please have a listen to the samples and make your own mind up.

hi if your after an album for a cosy cuddle up with a loved one or to just chill out to this is for you. This album is done in a laid back style by an artist who does his own work rather than copying others. I have played guitar for around forty years and on this album you get both electric and accoustic as it should be played without the electronic gizmos and wizadry. Just pure gorgeus guitar. add to that this artist is largely uknown here in the uk ( after listening you wonder why) and he is unsigned. just break open a beer for you a nice bottle of wine for your loved one cuddle up and enjoy. ken jarrow uk
