Album Notes

Playing piano from the age of three, Ross Copperman made music before he knew how to speak in coherent sentences. His mother finally gave in to lessons and their house was never quiet again. Ross played in several bands and learned other instruments to find himself musically. While developing as a performer he began songwriting. He started listening to a new cd every week to get new songwriting ideas, a tradition he continues today.Ross has been compared to artist's such as Billy Joel, Gavin Degraw and Elton John. His piano playing ablities are top notch and he has a sense for finding melody.
Copperman's songwriting style is based on what is going on in his life at the moment. "I feel like I get the most meaningful lyrics when I create fictitious characters based off of my emotions and life experiences". He dives into creative stories of love, heart-break, loss, becoming successful, and many other emotionally charged themes.
Ross Copperman, unlike other musicians, does more than just write pop songs. He also writes rock, pop, country, r&b, hip-hop and jazz; creating an original, eclectic mix every time. Copperman places a lot of emphasis on catchy hooks, a practice that always leaves the crowd singing his songs.

This CD was put together by a man of great talent! Ross' songs are catchy and very real. I love that this CD doesn't get old after listening to it as much as I do. Ross is an amazing musician!

They're right...
They're exactly right when they say you'll want to keep on singing this music. Ross has got a unique sound that I can't help but listen to over and over.

a pleasure to hear
Wow! My boyfriend came across a sample of this CD on the internet and passed it on to me because it reminded him of Gavin Degraw (my ultimate fave). The moment I heard it I knew I wanted to have it and I haven't stopped listening to it since. The piano is brilliant and I love the variety of songs.

Great sound!
Saw Ross open for Michael Tolcher and Gavin DeGraw at Marymount the other day. He has a great sound and a mellow vibe! Bought the CD and put it on the iPod...give it a listen and you'll see why I got hooked!
