I picked up my first guitar at the age of 11, a Hondo, acoustic Fender knockoff that I received as a Christmas present from my parents. I found its quality or name unimportant because when all was told, it was mine! I carried it everywhere I could and it became a part of me. I kept on writing songs, mostly for my younger sisters who clapped for me no matter how bad it was. A few years later I discovered my first studio, the back hall staircase in my old high school. Man, what a sound that made and without question I knew I was hooked from that point on. In the 1980’s and 90’s I teamed up with my younger brother Sean off and on for various projects which eventually turned into a full fledge band encompassing several different talented area musicians including bassist Jeff Scott, the son of my best friend Don as well as Dave Borgia, our quintessential drummer who has been instrumental in helping make our current project a reality. The rest I guess you can say is history.
I learned a lot from that old guitar and the many friends that have since followed, they taught me how to be passionate about everything that I do, and that when life goes out of tune, a simple change can put it all right again! And though that pretty much constitutes my “Acoustic Roots”, I’m forever grateful to God for sending me my beautiful wife Alicia and my four equally beautiful children, Jon, Ashley, Aubrey and Aaron who are the sequoia’s of my life, who keep me grounded and keep me from jumping off the crazy train.

Wow, this CD is great! The emotion that is put into the songs really comes accross. I keep this in my car and listen on my way home from work almost every day. I find the songs in my head as I go through my night and it is wonderful. Thank you!
