Mary Coppin
"Mary Coppin's voice has a magical quality, somewhere between Natalie Merchant and The Kinleys that cuts through the ordinary and can literally hush a noisy club. 35 years ago Mary Coppin would have joined the stage with such big artists like Joan Baez, Judy Collins et al, I'm sure. Heard her perform in Kulaks Woodshed, and I'm glad CD Baby offers this album. It is a jewel and a must-have for everybody who loves singer-songwriters.

Very soothing to listen to this CD on a hot afternoon. I happened upon her CD after attending the Texas Wildflower festival upon a recent visit to Texas and hearing her perform live. She's got a fantastic spirit and energy about her that pulls you in to listen to her songs again and again. The song "Room up for Rent" is my favorite and illustrates her capacity for clarity and depth in her music. Keep up the great work Mary !
