Album Notes

CORDELIA ~ CATHARSIS

To write a standard “Bio” for Catharsis wouldn’t do the album justice, so fuck that. Old people hate this album, middle-aged people hate this album, the “cool teens” hate this album, even the fucking punk rock kids are too damn trendy to listen to Catharsis. However, thats what makes it great - you either get it or it pummels your face in.

In 2004 two kids with a passion for hard music and destroying their instruments recorded this album not as a statement of their machismo, but to capture the spirit of their turbulent live shows on record and revitalize the now-cliché “punk spirit”.

This is the alternative to hardcore, its nerd-rock with muscles, its stones, glass and shit in a blender being simultaneously thrown screeching against a chalkboard by someone who has just had their foot pounded by a hammer; behold - CORDELIA.
