Guido Corleone has been in the game for some time now; It's only NOW that he's decided to surface above the ground to get his unique brand of Hip-Hop to the masses. With "On The Reel", Corleone has put together a compliation of innovative street beats, with a tendency toward the darker, far-out side of the genre. The album is a melding of instrumental tracks, snippets, works in progress, and even a couple classic vintage cuts ("The Illuminati", "Can't Take it Back") featuring the vocals stylings of an early Guido Corleone, still evolving and developing his unique brand of Rap and Underground Hip-Hop. Guido has been making a name for himself by organizing and performing shows for the Underground, collaborating and performing with such notable artists as Circus and the Shapeshifters, Fat Hed, Ron Smooth, Space Jay, DJ Sims, The Fetish, and others. Corleone has been working as a sound mixer and getting around his hometown of Los Angeles, after a 5-year stint in the beautiful Northern California cityscape of Santa Cruz, where he attended college, studying Film and Sound Production. "On the Reel" is a compliation of some work he did while he was up North, as well as tracks he's put together over the past year. SO ENJOY a true rarity and collector's item, as this album is in limited production, and may not be around much longer. The disc also contains instrumental material from Corleone's forthcoming official debut, "In-N-Out", available in early 2004. So take a hit, take a listen, and pick up the mic if you're feelin' it - Corleone is beckoning all independent artists out there to drop skills and science over these classic, grimy, bangin' beats comin' straight out the basement. Word Up.
