REVIEW:
Cort Bulloch is a Canadian songwriter who does surprise with the 10 songs of his debut album Fools Moon. He's telling his stories to simple folk cords with a moaning, tragic and sometimes even angry voice. One can feel that he's touched by what he's singing. His ballad Dear Joanna – postcard memoirs is beautiful. One might believe that he's the male opposite to Tracy Chapman. However, more often there are up-tempo pieces, which express a pushing energy, which you will rarely find with folk songwriters. An impressing debut album. Gerd Hoeschen (Dj Ottic) www.aloogo.be
TROY KOKOL
“Having hosted over 300 open mics in the past 4 years, I've seen my share of good writers, but every once and a while, in this business, you catch a glimpse of something special....that's what I saw when I watched Cort Bulloch play live for the first time....I'm a believer! A true poet, with an instinct for the perfect hook, Cort is bound for greatness. Completely unique, quietly charming and unforgettable....don't be the one who missed out on the experience!!!” Troy Kokol. Singer/songwriter.
