Album Notes

MEET JIM

When you sing about stinky feet and scabs, and chewing a piece of used gum, you\'ve got an irresistible combination that will not only trigger most kids\' \"gross\" meters, but will leave them giggling uncontrollably.
Jim Cosgrove knows what kids like to laugh about and sing about. And he\'s taken that knowledge along with his guitar and a box full of instruments around the country and the world, singing his songs for kids of all ages.
Cosgrove is a Kansas City-based singer/composer known among the elementary set as \"Mr. Stinky Feet,\" a name his young fans gave him following the popularity of his CD Stinky Feet, for which he won a national 2002 Parents\' Choice Award.
\"My songs are about having fun. And I think sometimes we forget that kids need to be kids,\" Cosgrove says. \"People often ask me if my music has some deep message. My message is really very simple; it\'s to have fun and be a kid!\"
\"The formula in this business is \'Fun and Substance.\' When you combine things that are slightly gross and silly with lessons about life, kids will learn and retain the lessons,\" says Cosgrove. \"Kids are smart, and I like to sing smart songs about things they think are funny.\"
