Album Notes

The 'Surrendered' CD is a result of the encouragement of Cosima's husband, family and friends and the culmination of 40 yeas of playing acoustic guitar and singing.

Released in December 2005, Surrendered, emerged in a world of over-produced projects, with a simple vocal and acoustic guitar mix and a few friends sittin’ in the family room for an honest intimate moment in His presence. This project draws the listener to sit back and ‘enter in’ with a mix of gentle acoustic, contemporary folk worship and old hymns influenced by some very special guest musicians.

Background vocals, Chris Falson, (I See The Lord and Come Holy Spirit), acoustic guitar~ Ric Flauding, bass~ Gordon Rustvold, percussion~ Danny Ybarra and more!

Bio~

Cosima grew up in a Southern California home where listening and recording hootenanny's sparked an interest in playing the guitar and singing folk music at the age of eight. Influences included musicians like Joan Baez, Buffy St. Marie, Woody Guthrie, and Hoyt Axton. From bluegrass to the blues and Opra to Chamber music. With guitar in hand everywhere she went it wasn't long before she had opportunities to play.

Cosima married Bob Ybarra and moved to the Riverside County area in 1978 and began attending Calvary Chapel Riverside, now known as Harvest Christian Fellowship.

Cosima's led worship in home studies, small groups and at mid-week and Sunday services. From 1986 through 1991 and she sang and played with various worship leaders at Sunday morning services, bible studies and worship conferences in California and Japan.

Returning to the states after a year with her husband as missionaries in Japan, she served in the worship ministry at Calvary Chapel Moreno Valley until November of 1996 when the Lord opened the way and called Cosima and her husband to Calvary Chapel Perris Valley.

Cosima now serves as worship leader at Calvary Chapel Perris Valley and as a guest for special services and women's events.
