This concept album is a way to show our appreciation for the influences that we were both inspired by but among all those
the one\'s that stood out the most to us are :
Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix

The album that had the single most impact on me (Paul) is
the Pink Floyd \"Dard side of the Moon\" album. As it was a major impact on artists all over the planet. So the title of this CD is a play on and salutation to Pink Floyd.

I am from Washington D.C. and began singing at an early age
Chris is from Chicago but raised in Portola Vally California
Even though we are from both sides of this continent we share our appreciation of Hendrix and Floyd. Being from different coasts we each were influenced by local to us and unknown to the other artists that had great impact on our individual growth in music.

Attempting to include as many of these influences as we could this collection of songs is what I have come to term as genre-bending. A process that requires extracting recognizable elements from 2 to 3 of the artists we admire so much and fusing them into an original song of our own. For example \"Naugahyde\" the first track is a fusing of 3 band styles. Traffic/Spirit/Hendrix feeling piece

Also it was our intention to make each track a different style from the others while keeping the message congruent throughout from beginning to end. Each song has a mention of or reference to the Moon in them. And the songs are both somber and comedic with a range of emotions represented herein.

There are no shockers and the listener will find this to be a CD they can turn to when relaxation is required, it is very mellow. We thank any and all of you who show us the respect and acknowledgments of support by your purchase or review of this CD. Let us know what you think so we can improve on it.

Always with love Cheers:) Paul

Takes me back to "pure feeling" music

I am honored to write a reveiw . I'll try to do my best because I really DO , like your CD ! Title cut & cut #1 are my favorites but , the entire CD has (easy, happy listening) , takes me back to when music sorta stopped being "dance music" & became -"WOW listen to that" , & before disco & head bangin' music . Sorta of a style cross of Beatles "Strawberry Feilds" , Pink Floyd "Money"style Psychedelic but , with a definate originallity owned completely by "Cosmic Buffalo" ! And originallity that most anyone can listen to relate & enjoy because of our roots of " I wanna listen to this " music .

I know "Rich Sonic Tapestry" sounds cliched, but...

No better way to describe it. The listener (or perhaps, "experiencer") is drawn in and enveloped by swirling audial textures and taken on a gentle and introspective joyride. Evocative lyrics and gentle self-deprecating humor, tasty arrangements, and a bunch of old pros clearly enjoying themselves. "Moorockin" calls to mind the Pharaoh Sanders classic, "Thembi." The entire CD is a stylistic fusion reminiscent of Love, Dr. John, Van Morrison, even the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and is very obviously a, well, here goes another cliche: Labourr of Love.

Totally Retro but Unique in It's Own Way

The first time I listened to C.B., I was on my way to work, one early dark morning. For a moment I lost my concept of time and thought I was back in the early '70s, but it was a lot different cooler sound. It truely moved me and took me back to a better simpler place. Good Luck and Best Wishes!
