For millinia, people have looked for reason in the unreasonable. A simple explanation for our limited time in an impossibly improbable life. Many still look to the abyss of deep space for the answer to the futile, "Why me?" Others accept that it is not for us to fathom the infinities of time and space that lie beyond us. The Cosmic Joke is for these people.

The Cosmic Joke is a band and a recording that revels in the possibilities that this time and place offer. Like the world we live in, this music is ambient, experimental, and electronic. But it's also acoustic, and amazingly psychedelic. Even when it seems simple, there is complexity just underneath or behind it. And The Cosmic Joke rocks like this world we get to live in.

You could call it Electro-Grunge or Psycho-Acoustic Voltage Rock but this is no more useful than saying Planet Earth is a diverse and interesting place. The Cosmic Joke is completely independent label-free music. No record deal, no advance, no tour support and no executive producer was needed for The Cosmic Joke to be told.
