notes
Transcending old school fusion and new age progressive metal stylings, COSMOSQUAD truly live up to their galactic moniker. Three years after their acclaimed eponymous debut album, this L.A.-based triumvirate is ready to unleash its sophomore release, "Squadrophenia", and make another out-of-this-world statement.
Retaining the multidimensional approach the band developed on their debut album, COSMOSQUAD have successfully managed to explore new musical territory and expand their sonic parameters on "Squadrophenia". Displays of upbeat, funky outbursts give way to dark, hypnotic grooves, spastic madness meets ethereal beauty, and African tribal flavors intersect with melodic flurries to complete a perfectly balanced mosaic of shadow and light.
COSMOSQUAD are that rare three-pronged constellation of stellar musicianship, unique songwriting and forward thinking attitude that allows for great musical things to happen. "Squadrophenia" is bound to establish the Kollman / Sparks / Gaalaas alliance as one of the Front-runners of the New Millennium hard fusion movement for years to come.

Squadrophenia
author: Eric PageJeff Kollman and company put down some big sound tracks with blazzing guitar riffs and very interesting compositions. I highly recommend this CD and all Cosmosquad CD's for anyone who loves great guitar jazz fusion.
Greatest Group of All Time
author: Christopher B. FeenerAnd I mean that with no exaggeration. This group blows me out of the water every time I listen; so much musicianship, technical ability, feel.. they pretty much have it all. It's amazing how little their known!
Hasn't left my cd player
author: Mike D.12 songs of pure instrumental bliss.Jeff's guitar really stands out.It hasn't left my cd player for days now! This cd proves you don't have to shred all the time.
How Do You Follow Up A Great Disc??
author: ChewyBy putting out another great disc!! And just like their other discs, this one is great from start to finish. The musicianship is top notch & the songs are well structered. But unlike other instrumental based bands, the length of the songs are short & straight to the point. I highly recommend this disc to ANY fan of music.

Cosmosquad's creativity, versatility, and craftsmanship is fantabulous
author: lane manuelhaving already listened to the amazing musicianship of jeff kollman, and shane gaalaas on the Mogg/Way, $ign of 4, and Edwin Dare albums, I am still greatly impressed by the versatility, and skill of these players on the squadrophenia album. I will no doubt be purchasing more music from cosmosquad, and hopefully looking forward to concerts in the future.
