The first album released by the Chimes of the 70's - a pop band dedicated to reviving the melodious sounds of the sinhala pop songs of Sri Lanka in the seventies lead by artists such as Clarence Wijewardena and Milton Mallawarachchi. The abum is the joint effort of the Chimes of the 70's and Nalin Jayawardena. "Chimes of the 70's" lead by Rukshan Karunanayake is a western pop band comprising of very young and talented team of musicians. Duet singers of the songs in the album are Minali gamage, Windya Peiris, and Sanduni Rashmika. Melodies, music direction and recording by Rukshan Karunanayake.
The Chimes of the 70's group consists of Rukshan Karunanayake (Lead/Rhythm Guitar), Sohan Anuhas (Keyboards), Dilshan Wijesekera (Rhythm Guitar), Chamara jayarathna (saxophone), Isuru Roshan (Bass guitar/Harmony & Backup Vocals), Chaminda Pushpakumara (Drums).
Additional musicians featuring in the album are Premanath Kodithuwakku (Tabla/Percussion), Nimal Punchihewa (Drums/Percussion), Udesha Karunanayake (Drums), and Roshan Jayawardena (Percussion).
Recorded at Studio Udeshan and digitally mastered by ranga Diyabalanage of Torana Recording Studio. Cover design by Janaka Chaminda. Special thanks to Dileepa Abeysekera and hemasiri Gamage.
