If you feel that the pursuit of power and profit is having a negative effect on the soul of humanity you may consider yourself a member. There's nothing hidden about us.
Starting with the slick and breezy Hippy Chick the album quickly moves into moody political anger with Paris Peace based around the bloody anti vietnam war protests when the US first began to show its nazi face attacking 10,000 peace demonstrators with hoards of police and national guardsmen outnumbering the protesters 2 to 1.
The Vietnam war was finally ended but sadly the US government namd military continues to sacrifice fine young men and woman to invasive political wars for the profits of its narrow minded corporate hierarchy. against the wishes of most loyal US citizens.
The album continues with themes around the ignorance of dumbed down celebrity obsessed pop culture addicts, the nazi idealism of efficiency and profiteering.
The cutting Land of Violent Robots reflects on the growing tendency of western military and police to be brainwashed violent robots.
Overall a damming artistic reflection of modern times but with an uplifting melodic backbone reflecting the goodness and strength that embodies the real human soul and its power to outlast and overcome all tyranny.
Ultimately we are a musical project but our aims are wider than creating melodious, alternative and sometimes provocative soundscapes. We hope you will find a space within our music that you can resonate with, some are subtle and some a bit more challenging, we like to cause a reaction sometimes.
The CD - Magic Sunshine has 15 tracks and is just under 55 minutes long, it is capable of taking you on a journey.
Let yourself float along in the expressive and funky beats,
harmonies, melodies occassionally jerked by soulful disonance.
The less adventurous will at first find the arrangements 'unfamiliar' and feel repelled but experience shows that the music will draw you in and you will find more things you like the more you listen.
Sometimes ways that are different and unfamiliar are the ones to embrace.
