Album Notes

With a permanent spiritual seat at the Salford Lads Club, Seattle singer-songwriter Coulter has spent the last decade weaving together songs that beg, borrow and steal from 50's rockabilly, 70's glam, 80's jangle, and 90's Brit pop. With his heart stitched firmly to his sleeve, the diary-like lyrics that find their way into the melodies speak to the outsider in us all, sitting at a bar at closing time, a haze of faces surrounding the empty glass, and the *one* you've spent all night pining over leaving in the arms of another. "Culture," his new album, will be released July 10th, 2007 on Hairball 8 records. Andy Rourke from the Smiths writes: "Culture is an excellent break from today's uninspired indie scene. Coulter listened to the right records growing up, and this album proves that the heart is still what matters when it comes to making great music."
