Martial arts magnate and motivational sensei Count Dante is back with two tons of two-fisted fury titled "Fat Power!" This second CD from Count Dante and the Black Dragon Fighting Society marks the return of San Francisco’s top tier power trio with a release that is harder, louder, stronger and faster. Yes, Count Dante knows that the only way to achieve true success amidst our crumbling economy is by combining the heaviest rock with the deadliest kung fu and The Count and crew accomplish just that on this latest offering.

The Count kicks off Fat Power with a blast of the kind of oratory bombast that he has become famous for with a spoken word track titled "Hair Power." “When your hair is powerful, than you are powerful,” Dante intones before his band rips into the upbeat motivational rocker "Come To My Seminar." The anthemic "Seminar" is followed by low budget pro wrestling travel tune "Indie Worker," the high cholesterol honky tonk of "Hofbrau Lady" and the haunting power dirge "Pray for the Flying J" just to name a few of the triumphant tracks found on this dynamic disc.

Clad in his customized kimonos, Count Dante has taken the kinds of low rent celebrity offered in the Bay Area to dangerous extremes. As a former grappler and announcer with Incredibly Strange Wrestling, Dante has appeared onstage at the Fillmore Theatre numerous times and toured the US and Europe. Since his days with ISW, Count Dante has continued to lend his stentorian tones to burlesque shows, boxing cards and beauty contests.

Standing side by side on stage with The Count is BDFS guitar master Tom Lesondak. Known as “The General” by his band mates and fans alike, this tough-as-nails Marine Corps veteran now sports the long, golden locks of a rock star from a bygone era. On drums, Jim “Ch’i Power” Henderson brings an unrestrained intensity that sometimes even overwhelms the Count. With every raucous fill on Fat Power, “Ch’i Power” threatens to break his drumheads and crack his cymbals but his Zen-like focus contains his ferocity.
