Album Notes

Lloyd Massey started playing music at the age of 14 locally. He started a band named \"Country Cousins\" at age 20. The band kept together for 26 years, playing all up and down the State of California with different artists and bands. His guitar picking is featured on two instrumentals with Gene Argenbright, the vocalist for the band singing on the rest. He was in on the beginning of the Bakersfield Sound.

To make a long story short, Lloyd is just a truck-driving guitar picker.

Country Cousins Wanderin Home
author: Donna Winters
This is just about the best, of the last, of the "Good Ole Boys". And I ought to know. I went to many family get togethers and listened to these boys all night. Gene Agrenbright is/was my cousin and my Uncle Huebert "Sonny" Stevenson sings back-up in most all of these songs. You can't get much better than this. I listen to this album often and remember those nights when they were live and up-close, in the livingroom, in the kitchen, in the garage, boy do I miis them. Uncle Sonny still lives in Dinuba, Calif and ocassionally sings at church and at funerals. I had this LP album cover framed and it hangs in my entryway, I see it everytime I come home. Country Cousins Wandering Home.

This CD is GREAT!!! It is hard to find traditional country anymore. Country Radio has a great loss for not playing traditional country anymore.
