Album Notes

The members of The Courtney Hollow Bluegrass Band are guitarist Bill Collins, Troy Gooding on mandolin, Tom Hogge on banjo, James Hyler on upright bass, and Richard Will playing the fiddle. The appreciation they have for traditional bluegrass music is heard in their unique, tight vocal harmonies and solid instrumentals.

Strike 3 is the third CD recording for the band, featuring six original songs included among twelve sure-to-please selections. Previously, Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine (BU) said this about their 2005 summer release, Cold Night in the Holler:

The Courtney Hollow Band has quickly achieved success in the Mid-Atlantic region, and thanks to the release of Strike 3, Cold Night in the Holler and Blue Mountain, and numerous performances in the region, they have greatly increased their fan base.
