Cowboy Messiah's American Zen is cool, and it is cheap. It features 14 tremendous tracks, and has a pair of magnificent boobs on the cover. (original art by Marc Nischan), (discover him for yourself at marcnischan.com - Good Art For Bad Eggs).
Plus, NOBODY has heard of these guys...
Cowboy Messiah plays live in and around Detroit on a nearly weekly basis, and is in a constant state of touring the mid-west... They are wildly popular on many evenings, but globally, the number of people who've heard of them, is statistically insignificant...

This might very well be one of the best albums I have bought in the last year, and I have bought a TON of music in that time. With a mixture of rock, punk, funk, rockabilly and folk this band proves to me that original rock is alive and kicking ass in Detroit. Thank you Cowboy Messiah. Thank you for producing a unique album that is so complex and yet straight forward in a world of cookie cutter bands. Crushing guitar leads, foot tapping beats, clever bass lines packaged together with memorable lyrics... American Zen a journey worth taking.
