Album Notes

Dorothy Cowfield, the Japanese Cowgirl Singer / Composer, sends her 2nd love letter. It's a music wagon in poetic and exotic exploration of the rustic wild west, along with a talented Japanese guitarist Shu Nakamura and the New York Jazz Masters. Music travels Latin to Native American to Mexico to Funk to Rock & Roll to Jazz, and each song takes you to a different time and space, and triggers different part of your passion. Truly a pick if you wanna discover a new singer songwriter.

Best NEW music I've heard in years!
author:
I've been a "serious listener" all my life; (Beach Boys, Zappa, Henry Cow, Kew Rhone, The Muffins, Stravinsky...) The last time I heard anything NEW that really blew me away was Michael Franks' "Dragonfly Summer". A few weeks ago I was handed a copy of COWS IN THE SKY along with a few other C.D.'s. The other C.D.'s never got played! I've been listening to "The Cow Lady" (as she is affectionately known around my house) ever since! Any review of this music that attempts to describe it will fall short, but if, like me, you enjoy music that sounds like itself- music with either too many or too few reference points to bother with- you'll love the Cow Lady too!
