A Great All Around CD
author: Nightlife Digest
I Told You This Would Happen is one of my favorite local CDs from the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. I think the general feel of the album tracks resembles the acoustic rock style of the early 70s that people still enjoy today. For people like me that are musically uneducated, I would best describe the CD as one that feels good to listen to while relaxing on your back porch with a cold beer after work. The songs are very well crafted anchored by Todd's great singing and song writing ability. Steve Kemp's guitar fits into the songs very nicely without being pushy. I also like how the CD uses conga-type percussion as opposeed to drums. Todd also shows us his musical ingenuity by incorporating The Morning Star Consort and great backing singers onto the CD. If you like music that is very listenable, and well produced, this CD is a must-buy.
