Album Notes

Coyote Smith's unique music is pure Native American flute. His music comes as an out pouring of his own spirit, that of his flute and his connectedness to the earth and the spirits surrounding his mountain lake home. All music on this CD was recorded in one sitting per song without rehearsal, are original, and came entirely from his spirit at the time of recording.

All sound on this work is produced by his flute without accompaniment. There are no play overs, add-ons, or special effects except echo. Echo is considered a pure and natural effect since it occurs many places in the natural environment and enhances the sounds of many flute pieces.

While this work is a spiritual journey of the artist, it has been said to take the listener on a journey into the depths of their own inner spirit and nurture a spiritual renewal and uplifting when experienced in solitude. Some have said the music helps relieve stress when it's played either in the car on the way home from work or just before bed time. Each person seems to relate to the music in their own way based on their background and musical taste.

"It is a peace deliverer." "That kind of music just wraps itself around me and then seems to come out from me." "Everyone who listens to this will fall in love with it...It's beautiful and full of spirit." "I have listened to it now about 10 times and it just gets better...I hear the wolves howl." "As I listened I could hear and feel the peace that was already around me. And, my heart and soul eased." "Now dear one, tell me the story of the trees. I have heard their voices in your music." "The CD is wonderful. I listened to it and took it to my daughter's and listened to it some more...they loved it...even the children love it. It brought a calm and serene feeling to an otherwise wild place on Sunday afternoon....I could hear what sounded like the music floating along that beautiful lake on the cover." "...like the woods if they could talk." "And now I have tears streaming and grace flowing...after listening to a tune...how do you do this?...You capture something out of nowhere (or somewhere) and reflect it back to being something just awesome." "That was simply beautiful. Nearly brought tears to my eyes." "Just been sitting listening to your music...over and over again. I could hear your music deep in the hills on a crisp cold night with all the stars twinkling." "I have shared this with my friends and they LOVED it!!!!!" "There are no words to tell you...to say anything will take away from the feelings that I have felt that your tune created and stirred inside...you have captured such an essence and aura of a wolf." "This music is beautiful. As if I could touch the music. Strange. Hauntingly beautiful comes to mind. What a peaceful sound. I just love it. I want to cry"

Mountain Lake Reflections

I have only listened to samples but I will be ordering this CD today. This says a lot about the music as my funds are limited; I think this quality of music is well worth a bit of sacrifice on my part. Beautiful, lyrical, and filled with the beauty of Mother Earth. Thank you, Coyote!

Wonderful sounds
author: Janet
I have loved the wood flute since I was a child. Coyote has brought the sounds of the forest, lakes, and animals of the woodlands to life in his heart felt music. I listen to it to and back from work as I have a good distance to drive every day. It helps me to relax in the nightmare traffic that is beginning to be the norm. Would recommend this cd to anyone who would like to just sit back and enjoy good flute music.

Spirits of a Mountain Lake by Coyote. I love the music. It is beautiful music for the soul. It isn't difficult to understand where the inspiration comes from if you have met Coyote. I hope he continues to be inspired and that more music will flow from his flute into the lives of us who need the peace his music so graciously brings to our hearts.
