Album Notes

Singer-songwriter Christopher Paul Bauer (cpaul) is an artist with a mission, creating music that expresses the passion and consciousness of a soul that seeks to understand and share.

Crafting his first song for an eleventh grade English creative writing assignment, cpaul quickly found himself writing songs, singing lead and playing guitar for the 80’s style pop-rock band Shattered Image. As opening talent for Star Search winners Limited Warranty, Shattered Image captured the attention of KQDS radio program directors with their upbeat original sound so the band was invited into the studio for a live original showcase and interview for broadcast on the KQDS Homegrown Radio Show. He found inspiration in great rock performances of Freddy Mercury and Sting.

In the mid 90’s, cpaul's environmentally conscious single titled “Save Us” earned a spot on the Cities 97 Earth Day celebration broadcast. He also played guitar and sang back up for the original Techno/Pop project titled HALO.

cpaul successfully completed his debut solo release titled “with•in” in 2003 with the help of producers Jamie Chez and Joey Finger.

“Instruments Only, Vol. 1” cpauls second release revisits the melodies of his debut release and expresses these themes with woodwind and string instruments, an easy listing Jazz format perfect for film and video applications.

cpaul’s third solo release titled “Ten Roads of Wisdom” is scheduled for an upcoming release date. You will find Chris’ live performances at local Minneapolis venues.

Chris regularly performs live at several local Minneapolis venues. Currently Chris has been working his chops at the Friday Night Jam every Friday night in “da nord-east” district of Minneapolis, MN. cpaul is also recording live performances with CRT Band. Also watch for the up coming release of new cpaul solo material.
